BattleBots S06 E04: Predictions

So…. last week I absolutely sucked at my predictions. I think that mostly came down to my own personal dislike of lifters(I find them boring usually) so I didn’t want to admit to myself that they could indeed win. Hopefully I can redeem myself this time.

Malice vs. Jackpot

I feel like Jackpot might win this one. They’re both pretty evenly matched I feel but Jackpot has the chance to get a good hit on Malice’s wheels.

Ribbot vs. Overhaul

I want to say that Overhaul has a chance at a good bite but my gut is saying Ribbot will win.

Blade vs. Skorpios

Blade looks very interesting but I just love hammer saws so I always have to root for them. So, I have to say Skorpios.

Tombstone vs. Mammoth

I honestly have no idea how this one might go. Like most people I immediately assumed Tombstone will win but when I think about it Mammoth has done some crazy upsets. But I’ll play it safe and say Tombstone will win.

Lucky vs. Tantrum

I don’t know if I’m being to confident but I feel like this one has to go to Tantrum all the way.

Ghost Raptor vs. Glitch

Sure Glitch should win the low ground but I have a feeling Ghost Raptors weapon is more powerful so I have to go with them.

Sawblaze vs. Madcatter

This is once again one that I feel they both are really really good but Sawblaze is probably my favorite bot out of all of them so I’ve got to root for my fav.

Retrograde vs. Rampage

I don’t normal go for the lifter but I think Retrograde has a good chance of flipping Rampage and getting a KO.

Now lets hope I get more then 2 correct this time.

BattleBots S06 E03: Predictions

Once again I’m giving my predictions for tonights episode, and considering I got 6 out of 8 correct last time I think I might be okay at the guessing part!

Hypershock vs. Slammo!

If this one turns out to be anything but a KO by Hypershock I would be honestly shocked.

Valkyrie vs. P1

Once again I’ve got to chose the robot with the violent weapon instead of a lifter so I’m going for a Valkyrie win.

Huge vs. Riptide

This one looks like a tough one for Riptide so I’d have to chose Huge since Huge will probably have a better chance at hitting Riptide.

Fusion vs. Cobalt

I’m not sure about this one but I’d have to say Cobalt because as unique as Fusion is it doesn’t have the best track record.

Black Dragon vs. Icewave

This is another tough one to chose because these are 2 good bots but I’d have to go with Icewave. Exposed wheels versus covered wheels usually makes me lean towards the covered.

Witch Doctor vs. Duck!

As durable as Duck! is I’d have to give this to Witch Doctor.

Copperhead vs. Lock-Jaw

Oh gosh I have no idea for this one since these bots are pretty even in my eyes. So I’ll chose the one with more wheels which means Lock-Jaw.

Claw Viper vs. Pardon My French

You might be able to guess which one I’ll pick as the winner of this fight since I always chose any other type of bot over a lifter but in case you can’t guess I’m voting for Pardon My French.

So… lets see if I get more or less guesses right this week.

BattleBots S06 E02: Predictions

I can’t wait for tonights episode so I wanted to share my predictions for this weeks episode and see if after years of watching BattlesBots if I can be an amateur Botwhisperer.

Yeti vs. Madcatter

I think this one will be Yeti all the way. I think it’s spinner has a better chance of hitting Madcatter then Madcatters weapon hitting Yeti.

Defender vs. Ribbot

I think this one will be Ribbot unless Defender gets in a lucky grab because I’ve noticed that a simple horizontal/vertical spinner usually are able to do more damage then a lifter.

Hijinx vs. Mammoth

I’m not sure about this one but I actually think this one might go to Mammoth. Sure Hijinx has a more destructive weapon but there is a lot of area for Mammoth to get under Hijinx and fling them around. But lets see.

Kraken vs. Rotator

This is one of those fights that I want it to go one way but prepare myself for it to go the other way. I want Kraken to win and think they have a strong chance, especially if they get a good bite from behind but I also wouldn’t be surprised if Rotator got in some good hits.

Rusty vs. Blip

I originally wanted to say this would go to Rusty since he’s a returning bot but the more I think about it I think Blip will win. Mostly because I don’t think Blips slanted design will allow Rusty to get in a good hit.

Tantrum vs. Malice

This one seems like it’d go to Tantrum. A bot’s at an automatic disadvantage when it has exposed wheels versus a bot with protected wheels.

Bloodsport vs. Whiplash

Whiplash is one of my fav bots so I have to go with them. Plus I think they have a really good chance at flipping Bloodsport and then getting at they’re underside.

Subzero vs. Shatter

Shatter is another one of my favorites so once again I have to go for them. Plus we know from Shatter basically whipping themself around that they can take some rattling so hopefully they can withstand Subzero

Now, honestly all of these predictions don’t really mean anything because as any fan of BattleBots knows is that one lucky hit can change everything. So, let’s just wait and see!

The King’s Man Review

I feel conflicted with The King’s Man because it was a great and emotional movie but it was honestly a let down as a Kingsman movie as a whole. By that I mean the fact that kind of lacked the absurdity the pervious movies had. Like heads exploding in a rainbow of colors or robot dogs that see Elton John as a friend, The King’s Man just didn’t have anything of that level of craziness. Sure it had a few moments, particularly any scene with Rasputin, but on the whole it had mostly normal stuff for a war/spy movie.

Now, if you try to not compare this movie to its predecessors then it’s a very good movie. Great action, great casting, and a story that made me cry. It was truly a great movie but sadly it is connected so I have a real hard time loving it as it. So, I don’t love it but I definitely strongly like it and give it a strong 6 out of 10.

Encanto Review

The 2 words I think of when I think of Encanto is cute and magical. It has almost everything needed for a new Disney princess movie. If Mirabel is even consider a Disney princess considering she is neither a princess, daughter of a chief, or a war hero. She also doesn’t have an animal side kick so that’s also is another problem, but besides that Mirabel is a great princess adjacent.

On the other hand my one of my favorite parts of this movie was the songs. I loved how they were so different from every other Disney movie, especially since some songs were almost rap like and I have a dream of a rapping Disney princess. So, baby steps. But the most important and best part of Encanto was of course Mirabel’s story. It basically boils down to the struggle of a young girl who wants to be seen in the same light has her more successful family members. And who just wants her family to be proud of her. Which I think is a story that many many people can relate too. The only thing I didn’t like was that even at the end she still doesn’t have a power which just seems unfair to me. So, all around I would give this movie a 7 out of 10.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Review

Now that the grace period for spoilers has passed I feel like I can give my review for the new Spider-Man, but I’m still going to try to not give specific details because I still don’t like spoilers for a movie this important. So, that being said this might be a short review.

Straight up this movie was perfect! I can’t think of any flaws, someone else might but I can’t. It has everything a multiverse Spider-Man movie needs and everything and more I could want. Particularly a certain cameo from an unexpected character(if you’ve seen it yet you know who I’m talking about) that I just love! Besides for that this movie had me experiencing all of the emotions, which I always think makes for a really good movie. Just the entire movie was an amazing edition to the MCU and a great experience to watch in theaters opening weekend. So, I confidently give this movie a 10 out of 10!
