It’s no surprise to me that this movie was undeniably funny, I mean what would you expect from a comedy staring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum they’re amazing. Plus what’s better then Daniel Radcliffe as a villain? Nothing that’s what. Since it’s probably no surprise to anyone else that this is a good movie I’m just going to quickly talk about what I think set this movie apart from other rom-coms.
And that is what I’d like to call the perfect ratio between funny and serious. There wasn’t too many serious parts so it kept its rom-com feel but there also wasn’t so few scenes that it felt wrong to have them in the first place. I was also surprised by the combination of cliché and unpredictable. Like, I simultaneously knew and not knew what was going to happened. Which weirdly made the movie even more fun to watch. So, with this balance I would give The Lost City a 7 out 10.
This was my favorite DC movie to date and now I’m trying to decide if I like Pattinson more then Bale but I think, give him another movie and maybe a few more gadgets and Pattinson will me my new favorite. I actually really really enjoyed the dark, depressed, and basically emo Bruce. I just feel like it makes more sense to me to have the brooding Bruce instead of the playboy Bruce.
Another surprising thing to me was that I actually noticed and was really into the cinematography and music. Normally I don’t really pay attention to stuff like that, I usually pay more attention to the plot and movie as the whole then the different parts. So, the fact that this movies music and filming were special and different enough for me to not only notice but love it is amazing in my mind.
There was only one thing I wish there was more of and that was BRUCE WITH EYE MAKEUP!! I literally have no idea why but I loved seeing Bruce in his street clothes with the black eye makeup and I wish there was more of it. Even if it pushed it over the 3 hour mark. But all in all I would give it a 9 out of 10 and I can’t wait for another one.
Well I failed once again to get an 8 out of 8 prediction correct so this is my last time before the round of 32. Wish me luck.
Bloodsport vs. Claw Viper
I think Bloodsport will win this as long as they get their spinner going. I also can’t really see how Claw Viper can flip Bloodsport easily.
Madcatter vs. Rampage
100% Madcatter will win. And if for some reason they don’t then its bullshit.
Huge vs. Switchback
As always there has to be a fight that I can’t decide on. I can see Switchback being able to hit Huge but they don’t really have a good record this season so I have to ultimately say Huge will win.
Kraken vs. Glitch
Well as we’ve seen Glitch might be the new King of the low ground and I can’t really see how Kraken can do any damage to Glitch without damaging themselves so I think Glitch has the better chance of winning. But I really like Kraken so I’m still going to root for them to win.
Mammoth vs. Lucky
I think Mammoth will win this. I just don’t see how Lucky can flip Mammoth.
Rusty vs. Witch Doctor
Rusty’s great but I can’t see them beating Witch Doctor.
Fusion vs. Icewave
I know Fusion has been doing much better this season but I don’t think it’s fanciness can beat the simplicity of Icewaves weapon.
Blade vs. Dragon Slayer
Considering Blades record this season I have to say Dragon Slayer will win. But I do really want to see something impressive from Blade since it looks really cool.
Now let’s see what happens this time!
Dog was a really cute movie but more then that I feel like it was a really balanced movie. And by that I mean it wasn’t all sad or all happy. For every moment you laughed, you cried and vice versa.
That’s what made Dog unique for a dog movie. Normally you go into a movie about a dog expecting it to be all funny or ultimately sad by the end, but Dog wasn’t like that. My emotions went up and down during the entirety of the the movie which ultimately left me at a content emotional middle ground slightly leaning towards happy. If you know what I mean. Which is pretty good by my standards, but only if it’s for a movie about a dog. Ultimately if I was left feeling how I did after watching Dog for any other type of movie I wouldn’t have been impressed.
I also feel compelled to add that according to my dad the details they had about the Rangers were pretty accurate and as anyone can agree accuracy in a realistic movie is very important. So, all in all I would give Dog a 6 out of 10. An excellent dog movie but an average movie in general.
Last week I was more disappointed in the actual fights then my failures at prediction so hopefully it goes better this week.
Gruff vs. Cobalt
Cobalt is strong but I think Gruffs durability will win this one.
Duck! vs. Riptide
I’m not too confident in Riptide but Duck really disappointed me last time I rooted for them so this time I’m going to say Riptide.
Valkyrie vs. Pardon My French
We haven’t seen too much of what Pardon is capable of this season so I’m going to go with the safe bet and say Valkyrie will win.
Lock-Jaw vs. Blip
I’m not sure about this one but I’m feeling that Blip might be able to win this one if they can fling Lock-Jaw a couple of times.
Minotaur vs. Deep Six
Since I really enjoy Deep Six and really want to see a redemption for their last fight I’m going with them. Plus I’m not quite sure how much damage Minotaur can do to Deep Six.
Subzero vs. Hijinx
I think Hijinx will win this one.
Skorpios vs. Yeti
This is one of those fights where I can see either one winning so I’m going to root for the one I like more. Which is of course is the glorious hammer saw!(I love hammer saw bots)
Defender vs. Retrograde
I think Retrogrades low ground will allow them to have the control in the fight and thus the win.
As always lets hope I get that allusive 8 out of 8 correct.
I’m going to start this off by saying I haven’t played a single Uncharted game so I like to believe I have an unbiased opinion of the movie. And that opinion is that Uncharted is fun! It’s really that simple.
I could on and on about how I love treasure hunting and parkour movies separately so putting them together is even better, but why do that when I can just simple say that Uncharted was really enjoyable to watch. I (unlike some people) really liked the casting and thought Mark and Tom were great together. It was fun watching the start of this treasure hunting duo’s relationship. What really got me with this movie was the potential it has. Now, even though I loved watching Uncharted I will admit it could have been “deeper” I guess. I would have liked to see more emotional scenes both good and bad. But with the end credits it makes me hopeful that we’ll get to see Nate and Sully grow and evolve. I just really hope this movie at least gets one sequel so I can see more of it. All in all I would give Uncharted a 7.5 out of 10. It was a fun time watching it in theaters but could have had a little more to make it great.
