Haunted “Houses”: Thoughts

This past weekend I went to both a local haunted attraction called Scream LoCo and Kings Dominion Halloween Haunt, so I wanted to talk about both of them. Now I’m not going to actually compare them and say which one is better because it’s not a fair comparison. Considering one just happens to be a massive amusement park.

First things first, I loved both! For someone who refuses to watch horror movies, I love getting scared at haunted houses. I’ve been going to the Haunt for years now, so I like to mix it up a bit and try other places out. And Scream LoCo added that variety I was missing, I especially loved that it was an entirely different theme from the one I went to last year. That switch-up is one thing that kind of makes me sad with the Haunt. A lot of the houses have been the exact same thing for multiple years now, and even though they made some minor changes to a few this year, I was really hoping for some entirely new themes. So, even though I love it every time it sadly is getting a tad bit repetitive.

Now that I’ve talked a little bit about the actual houses, I want to talk about the idiots. You know… the idiots who go to a scare attraction and get the “don’t scare me necklaces”. Sure, I can understand why someone would get them at a theme park since there’s a bunch of other stuff to do, but why in the world would you go to a haunted attraction like Scream LoCo if you didn’t want to be scared. That is literally its only purpose! There is nothing else but walk in the maze and get scared. It just doesn’t make sense to me. But anyway, those are some of my random thoughts that I wanted to share.
