Nerd Thoughts

A while ago I saw The Cursed Child in London, but recently I was able to see it again but this time in New York. I know the story itself is an area of contention on whether it’s good or not, but after seeing it again, I only want to talk about the magic in the show. Even though I knew most of what was going to happen, I was still awed by the special effects and such. Sure, my logical brain knows it’s a bunch of sleight of hand and if that’s not the solution I can make a pretty good guess, but even then I’m still amazed by it.

I personally think the story is okay(unlike others) but the “magic” is what actually makes this show great. I was constantly shocked by the magic that I was eagerly watching the showing waiting for the next bit. It’s corny but it truly felt magical. Because of the awesome effects, I believe even someone who doesn’t like Harry Potter would enjoy The Cursed Child. So, I think everyone should go see it.
