Nerd Thoughts

I meant to write about this song a while ago, but I kept forgetting, so I’m doing it now. For anyone on the Bookstagram side of Instagram, you already know this song, and for those who don’t, you need to listen to this one and the original by April Jai. They both are awesome! So, when I first saw that there was going to be a new version of Morally Grey but with a male part I was super excited. It was going to be epic and it was, but if I’m being honest it could have been even more epic.

I personally think that there should have been at least one more section sung by the guy. I was expecting a song that was a good chunk longer than the original, so I was honestly a little sad that it was practically the same length. I wish there was more back-and-forth between the two singers to give it more of that conversation vibe.

Now, I don’t want anyone to misunderstand me. I love both versions and have them both on my liked list on Spotify, but I definitely think the Nation Haven Edition would have been even more incredible if it was longer.
