This is one of those movies I went to see to confirm that it is as bad as everyone is saying. And surprise surprise it is. Well that’s not entirely right, it wasn’t the worst movie I’ve seen but it was definitely shitty. The biggest factor (which everyone knows) in its shittyness is its CGI. Now, normally with modern CGI, I’m usually pretty forgiving because I know that even the bad new stuff is better than the good old stuff. But this time I could not handle it, everything looked soooo fake. I wouldn’t even say it was bad CGI it just looked like they chose to make everything look terrible. Even if that was a choice it was a terrible one.
While the CGI was the biggest factor in The Flash’s downfall for me the final nail in the coffin was that the Flashpoint story is so overdone. I am so fucking tired of seeing Flashpoint in every show and movie. We get it his mom has to die! I would have much preferred if we got to see some different Flash villains instead of Superman villains. It just felt like they plopped Barry into Man of Steel.
This movie was just doomed from the beginning since we all know it has no importance for the new DCU. So, I have to give this movie a 4 out of 10.
