This was a great movie to watch plain and simple. Now, you might be wondering what makes a raunchy comedy so great the answer is… surprise. The plot was such a wild ride that I could barely predict where it was going, some things were obvious but most weren’t. The punchlines were the same, where the were sometimes predictable but the still got me every time. Which of course made Joy Ride a super fun movie.
But the most surprising thing was how much this movie made me cry! Don’t get me wrong I didn’t cry a whole bunch(just a couple moments at the end) but that’s way more than I was expecting for what I heard about this movie. I was expecting some crazy balls to the wall type stuff so I was shocked when I found myself crying. There is just something so amazing about a movie that can affect your emotions so unexpectedly like that.
Honestly, I went into this movie thinking it was only going to be super raunchy stuff but was surprised about what I got. Sure it had the raunch but it was more than that so I’m going to give this movie an 8 out of 10.
