Prince of Dragons (The Dragon Marked Chronicles Book 2)

I am still really enjoying this series, but this book made me realize something. It surprisingly made me realize and appreciate character deaths. As much as I prefer characters not to die, this book has made me miss the unpredictability that comes with the threat of death. For scenes that are supposed to make me worried for the safety of the characters I just can’t get there. I’m just like “Well, so far no one has died or been seriously injured, so there’s no reason to fear”. Without that fear, the impact of the characters’ survival is severely weakened. So, as crazy as it sounds, I want more violent consequences.

But despite the lack of worry I get from this book, I still genuinely like the story and I’m very interested in how it’s going to end. So I’m going to give this book a 7 out of 10.
