FNAF Movie Review

I am by no means an expert on Five Nights at Freddy’s, I’m practically a beginner, but I believe I’ve hit that perfect sweet spot. I’ve watched just enough play-throughs to be able to enjoy the movie more than the uninitiated but not know too much to where a change would bother me. So, I got to enjoy the whole movie without any issues. There wasn’t a single problem I had with this movie. The “animatronics” looked great, the casting/acting was perfect, and the whole storyline was amazing. That was something that shocked me, I was not expecting the story to be so emotional. Sure, I knew there were going to be ghost kids(and all the bad shit dealing with them), but I was not expecting Mike’s story. It brought more depth to the movie that could have easily skated by on the concept of murderous animatronics and nothing else.

Now, I am someone who very much dislikes horror movies, and will only see something even remotely close for a very special reason(such as being based off of a video game). So, it’s a good sign that I thought the movie had the perfect amount of jumpscares that created the perfect amount of tension. Which in turn, creates the perfect horror movie for people who dislike horror movies. Basically, this was just a super fun movie to watch, plain and simple, so I’m going to give it an 8 out of 10.
