Nerd Thoughts

I know this movie is having a tough go of it but all I care about is the fact that it is fun to watch. Straight up. Now I’m not going to lie and say it’s one of the best MCU movies, I would put it solidly in the mid-tier, but it is entertaining to watch. The best way I can describe it is that if I’m doing a marathon of all the MCU movies in a row, this would not be one I would use as a bathroom break(I’m looking at you Dark World).

I think what made this movie good is that they succeeded where Love and Thunder failed. Love and Thunder’s constant jokes and silliness never gave the more serious and traumatic parts their time to shine, minimizing their importance. But The Marvels did the opposite of that. It gave watchers time to stew in the somber moments instead of immediately jumping into a joke. Which I really appreciated so I’m giving it a 7.5 out of 10.
