Due to my stupidity of not avoiding reels on Instagram(although, in my defense at the time I had no plans of reading Acotar, so why would I avoid spoilers), I already knew going in to not get attached to Tamlin. And since I knew this already, it definitely changed my opinion and reading experience of the book, so I’m not going to do an actual review and instead just talk about some of my thoughts.
First, I must admit that for about 90% of the book I was just slogging away and didn’t really care about much. I mean, how do you expect me to care about them falling in love if I know he’s going to be a shithead. It wasn’t till Under the Mountain that I got real into the book. It was fun giggling and smiling every time Rhysand showed up, especially knowing that the unaware were probably conflicted on liking him or not.
So, I basically just started liking the book at the end but it definitely got me hyped for the rest.
