Nerd Thoughts

I went and saw this over Christmas with my family, and all I really need to say about it is that it’s exactly what you think it is. Cheesy, cute, decently funny, and a teeny bit serious. Another way I can describe it is that it’s one of those movies you don’t regret seeing, but you also don’t spend any time after watching it thinking about it. It’s a movie that just is. Rom-coms are one of those genres that I like to watch to throw some variety into my movie watching. Because of this, I never really have any big opinions on them, I either like watching it or don’t. But lucky for Anyone But You it falls into that first category.

The only thing that I was actually surprised about was the amount of nudity. Although it wouldn’t have been that surprising if I had paid attention to the rating. So, I guess that shock is my own fault. But all together, I would give it a solid 6 out of 10. It would have been better if all the animosity wasn’t caused by a stupid miscommunication/overheard the wrong thing trope.
