I loved Wonka, plain and simple. I know some people don’t agree with me, but I think Timothée was a great Wonka. He was whimsical with just a hint of unhinged insaneness. I think he landed perfectly between Wilder and Depp, although he definitely leaned more towards Wilder.

Wonka was just a really fun movie to watch, not to mention the songs were great. This is one of those movies where, for the life of me, I can’t understand why someone wouldn’t like it. It was funny, cute, pretty, and it even tied into the first Wonka movie amazingly. Best way to explain this movie was that after watching I left the theater feeling cheerful. And also there is nothing that someone could say that’d convince me this wasn’t a super fun movie. So, I of course am going to rate this movie a 9 out of 10.
