Since this one is such a widdle baby book, I don’t really feel the need to give a score, so instead I’m just going to quickly share a few of my thoughts. The main thought is that it is the absolutely perfect book to follow Wings and Ruin. Where Wings and Ruin was the badassery that followed the emotional healing, Frost and Starlight was the peaceful love to follow the traumatic experiences. It’s the perfect breather before starting Silver Flame.
Probably my favorite part of this book is the fact that the characters are just going about their mundane lives. It might be silly, but as much as I love the action and world-saving in fantasy books, I always end up wanting to see the characters going about their daily lives. Especially after crazy events, I just want to see them having a happy normal life. And Frost and Starlight was that perfect slice-of-life moment that I was craving. You could also say that it was a bad thing because now I want more everyday life moments!
