Recently, I was craving a dragon book, and after a bit of searching, I found this one, and it was great! It was a fast-paced entertaining read. Multi-pov is iffy to me because sometimes I like it, and other times I don’t. But this time I did, each POV was unique, and it was compelling because I was constantly wondering how and when everything would come together. Another thing that super entertained me was the deaths(sorry spoilers). It sounds weird to say, but quite a few of the deaths caught me by surprise, and I loved that. It was super refreshing just being shocked and not necessarily sad about deaths for once.
Now, one thing that did disappoint me was that Victor didn’t turn into a full dragon at the end. Don’t get me wrong, I completely understand why he chose to not fully transform, but it still made me a little sad. Although I definitely have hope that by the end of this series, he will end up fully transforming(I bet a sliver of the mirror is now embedded into his body and will continue his transformation fully). So, I am very interested in seeing where this story goes and thus will give it a solid 8 out of 10.
