Nerd Thoughts

It might be a little late, but I finally got time to watch Code 8 Part 2! Before I start I have to mention that I was an original backer for the first Code 8, so it holds a very special place in my heart, and thus I have a hard time seeing anything wrong with it. Since I don’t truly have anything bad to say, I’m going to get the one baddish thing out of the way. That “bad” thing is that the movie was a tad slow at the beginning, but It quickly remedied that, so not a huge problem.

Now to the good stuff! I thought that this was the perfect follow-up to Code 8. It had the same vibe(which is extremely important) and still great special effects/CGI. Another thing I loved actually started out as something I was disappointed with. At first, I was disappointed that Garrett and Connor weren’t buddy-buddy and fully working together in this one, but then I realized it was better that way. Having Garrett flip-flop made his character more complex and added a bit more mystery to what would happen since you can’t predict what he’s going to do.

Also, I want to add that even though I don’t think this will happen that ending made me want a third movie so bad! But anyway, I’m going to give this movie a 9 out of 10.
