After reading Dragon Latitudes I decided to read another one of Amy Campbell’s books. Amy Campbell is great because Breaker was super fun to read. There’s just something so great about an OP main character who’s a cinnamon roll. He could destroy everything but he just wants to bake… tears. And add on the mental/emotional /physical trauma you’ve got the perfect MC! Besides the greatness that is Blaise, I absolutely loved this book’s universe, which I am assuming is the same universe Airship Dragons shares. I am already imagining scenarios where Blaise and Elazar meet!
Going off on that Blaise and Elazar tangent, I want to share the one/one and a half negative things I have to say about this book. That half being it took a little long for my liking for Blaise’s romantic feelings to be even talked about, let alone for a romantic interest to pop up. The one thing I really didn’t like was Blaise being with Jefferson. I’m not a fan of that relationship, they can be friends, but I think Blaise should be with someone less hoity-toity. My dream would be that in future Airship Dragons books Blaise would meet and fall in love with Elazar then they can bake and invent little cog machines together. I know that is stupid but it makes me happy. But anyways, I would give this book a 9 out of 10.
