After reading ACOTAR it’s finally time to continue my journey into the Maasverse. This review will be pretty short since this book is just a bunch of novellas and thus are more like bonus stories that if I’m honest I don’t have a bunch to say about it. First and foremost this book got me real hyped for the rest of Throne of Glass. Unlike ACOTAR, the only things I actually know from reels on Insta are character names so it was fun reading The Assassin’s Blade and seeing if any names I knew popped up(which none did but it was fun anyway).
While I loved reading this book I did have one complaint. I wish the time between each novella was longer. Since it was a bunch of different novellas I thought it would cover a significant chunk of her past(not plot-important stuff, just random missions), so I was semi-disappointed when it turned out to just be the year before her getting arrested. But despite that, I would still give this book an 8 out of 10.
