The Godzilla franchise is one of those that just keeps getting crazier and Godzilla x Kong is definitely the craziest so far. While some would say this craziness makes it a bad movie I think it just makes it fun. It’s one of those movies where you can just sit back and enjoy big monsters fighting. No complex plot just entertaining vibes. But I realized with this new movie that my favorite part isn’t the actual fighting. My favorite part is the sounds specifically Godzilla’s roar and charge-up sound. Those sounds just scratch that good part of my brain and because of that I just love listening to the Godzilla movies.
Now, while I had fun watching the movie, I had one complaint. Not enough Godzilla! As a Godzilla superiority believer, there was too much Kong for my taste. Sure I feel like it was a good 50/50 of Kong and Godzilla but I would have preferred a 60/40 leaning towards Godzilla. But besides that, it was a classic giant monster-fighting movie and I would give it a 7 out of 10.
