Recently I read a bunch of werewolf and werewolfish spicy romance books in one weekend so I wanted to share my thoughts on all of them one by one. And semi-compare them to each other.
First thing first, for a spicy monster book it’s got all the things required for those who need to know. For example, mates(if it wasn’t fated it was close enough), knotting, monster form sexytime, you know all the good stuff needed for smut. None of this was surprising since that was how it was promoted, but even though it was advertised as smut over plot, I have to say that there was the perfect amount of plot. I know it’s a tad silly to expect a good plot in a spicy book, but I’m pleased this book had it. It gave me an engrossing story and a new supernatural world I hope continues in the next one. Another thing that got to me was that I feel like this book isn’t actually a novella. It’s called a novella, but to me, novellas are exceptionally short and this book was a very reasonable length so I don’t really understand that classification for it.
Now, the only bad thing I have to say is that at the beginning there were definitely some moments that could have used a bit of editing. Besides that one issue, I would actually give this book an 8 out of 10.
