Nerd Thoughts

After my friend’s constant “you need to read this, ” I finally got around to reading Lightlark. I was skeptical at first due to things I read online, but I decided to trust my friend and give it a try. Now, I’ll admit it’s not the most unique story, but I still had a lot of fun reading it. I really loved this new magical world setup, although there were one or two things I would have liked a little bit more clarification on. One thing that I did love with no buts are the main characters(some more than others if you know what I mean). That being said, while I did like a lot about this book I think that opinion will be greatly affected by how the next book turns out. I’ll try to keep it spoiler-free, but my preferred type of love interest greatly impacts how I feel about this book. I know it’s petty but depending on how the sequel goes, I’m either going to be obsessed with this book and forgive anything that made me mad, or I’ll drop the series right then and there. So, with that being said I’m going to give this book a 7.5 out of 10 with the possibility of being much higher(or lower) with hindsight.

P.S. No matter how the book turns out I’m definitely excited to see it on the screen.
