I learned about this book from a random Facebook ad and I’m happy that I looked into it. This book was super fun to read. Sure, it’s not the best book out there, but it was a hilarious(and I don’t mean in a so bad it’s good way) fated/rejected mate’s book. Pip had me cracking up the whole time. Something that surprised me was that there wasn’t as much spice as I was expecting, especially after the prologue. But I actually liked that, particularly since It’s only the first in a trilogy. The fact that it’s a trilogy with the same characters is why I read it in the first place. I’ve found that most monster romance book series I come across are usually focused on different characters in each book so I got excited when I saw this one was following the same people for the entire series.
One thing I do want to add is that this is one of those books where I enjoyed it a lot then was stupid and looked at other reviews that hated it. Those reviews then made me question if I was wrong for liking it, but then I told myself that fated mates romance books aren’t for everyone so don’t let the negative nancys get you down. So, despite what others might say, I give this book a 7 out of 10.
