Unlike the first one I was worried for a bit that I wouldn’t like this one. At the beginning Pip’s constant chattering, which I loved in the first one, was almost too much for me. Especially since she kept questioning if Marlowe had a way out when he came to rescue her. I know that’s something very minor to be annoyed at, but I just felt like shaking Pip and saying “He broke into a high-security building to free you, of course, he knows the way out!!!!!”. I also found her constant denial that she is Ophelia even though everything points to that being the truth semi-annoying too, but that I did kind of understand.
While I found her constant talking more annoying than the previous book, I eventually got used to it again. Plus I enjoyed the ending so much that it practically erased any annoyance I had. With that in mind, I will also give this one a 7 out of 10.
