Nerd Thoughts

So, while I did enjoy the first book, I definitely thought it was a tad overhyped, but this book changed everything! I would compare it to how everyone says not to stop at just ACOTAR but to read ACOMAF, too. I had so much fun reading The Wicked King. This book solidified my love for this series. There were many things I loved about this book, but my favorite was the MCs lying to themselves about their own feelings. Nothing makes me giggle more than when a character says they hate someone, but you, as the reader, know they are little liars. The joy I feel when I get to say “liar liar pants on fire” to the book is immense. While I enjoyed laughing at them being stupid with their feelings, I do wish there was a bit more physical romance to really drive home how their words aren’t lining up with their actions. Because I had so much fun reading this book, I’m going to give this book a 9 out of 10.
