Nerd Thoughts

I am a very very casual Minecraft player, like plays for a couple of weeks and then doesn’t touch it for years type of player, so I think if I was more up on the meme side of things, I might have enjoyed it more, but as it stands, I was not super impressed. I don’t think it was bad at all but I didn’t leave the theatre having had enjoyed the experience.  Although, I have no idea how it could be any better because I personally don’t really see how a Minecraft movie can have a compelling plot. The only thing I really liked was how they interpreted Minecraft things in real life. I also feel like I have to mention that the experience was indeed tainted by a minor case of the yelling, popcorn/soda cup-throwing trend. That 100% made it hard to actually pay attention to the movie. Because of all this, I think I have to give the Minecraft movie a 6 out of 10.
