My opinions of Scythe & Sparrow are very similar to Leather & Lark, where I loved it, but not as much as Butcher & Blackbird. My biggest issue with Scythe & Sparrow was that I really, really wanted Fionn to be the only well-adjusted brother! I wanted his only red flag to be that he is a-okay with his brothers being a serial killer and a hitman. I didn’t want him to be all “woe is me, I have this dark and dangerous side,” so I was a little annoyed/disappointed. I also absolutely didn’t want him to actually kill anyone, so that was disappointing. Basically, I wanted Fionn to be the one regular guy in a crowd of killers. Oh, I was also a tad disappointed that S&S had the same narrators as L&L, but luckily, the narrators were able to change their voices enough that it sounded a bit different. You might think with these issues, I would not like this book, but I still had so much fun listening to it that, being said, I would give it a 7 out of 10.
