Nerd Thoughts

By far one of my most favorite parts of reading is trying (and succeeding) to predict events in books. Anytime I’m able to accurately predict something, especially when my only evidence is vibes and previous experience, I get massively excited. That’s probably why I love romantasy so much since they all are very similar (which I know some people hate, but I just can’t get enough). Because of all this, I loved listening to this book because I knocked my predictions out of the park!!! Besides that, though, I loved all the characters and can’t wait to finish the series. My only complaint was that, despite having a male and female narrator, they still had the male narrator do “female” voices and vice versa. It was kind of annoying, especially when I know that the “real” voice actor could just do the voice instead of the voice actor doing a not great girl/guy voice. With all of this in mind, I would give this book a 9 out of 10.
