So, would say I’m a very casual fan of F1. Basically, I like racing movies, but I’m not going out of my way to watch things like real races/the docuseries (I leave that to my family, who watches all that stuff). I’m saying all of this to explain the fact that watching this movie was purely fiction to me, and I have no clue about “accuracy” or anything like that. With that in mind, it was a really fun movie to watch. When you have a racing movie, one of the best things to do is to allow the viewer to feel like they’re in the car too, and this movie succeeded in this. I also think this movie succeeded in making the focus primarily on the racing and less on the people. I would say it was a good 60% about racing and 40% about the human side of the story, which I think is the right percentages. So, I would give the F1 movie an 8 out of 10.
