Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Review

Now that there’s been plenty of time for people to finish Queen Charlotte I feel like I can talk about it now. First and foremost I really enjoyed this show. They excelled at so many things in this show, but the one that really stuck out most to me was how well they connected it to the main Bridgerton story. The flashforwards to the “present” were the perfect way to keep the show connected to the rest of the Bridgertonverse and make it clear that this mini-series is mainly to show more background on characters that get overlooked in the original show. But at the same time, the flashforwards were limited enough that you get completely engrossed in Charlotte and George’s story almost forgetting about the connections.

I also loved how all of the characters felt like accurate portrayals of their younger selves. By that I mean I never once thought “How did they change so much?” or “This doesn’t seem like the character I know”. Any differences from past to present are given good explanations. Everything about this show came together perfectly to make a great mini spin-off show so I would give it 8 out of 10.
