Nerd Thoughts

This show was perfection in every single way possible! The variety of characters all with their own unique quirks… amazing. The actors and actresses… chefs kiss. One of my favorite parts is how perfect the fight choreography was. It was the perfect blend of flashy/fancy fighting and brutal/gory fighting. I was mesmerized by every single fight in this movie. The creators also successfully threaded the line between comedy and drama. All of the jokes and punchlines were at perfect times, and not once did any joke undermine any of the seriousness.

The seriousness of the show was something I was not expecting but was extremely happy about. From the trailers, I would have never guessed that an important aspect of this show was delving into Charles’s traumatic childhood. But man, I loved every second of it, it gave this show some heart.

I really hope this show gets another season because I’ve already been imagining new scenes. I want to share one in particular that keeps going through my head. It starts with Mama Sun calling Charles and telling him she needs him to kill/make an example of someone. But Charles says he can’t because he’s perfecting a recipe and she’s like it’s okay sweety no rush. Then later he comes to Mama Sun with what looks like two boxes of pastries and he says he wants her to try the new recipe and opens up one box. But it’s a head or hands(something like that) and Charles is just like oops wrong one and then opens the other one. And then Mama Sun tries the desert and she says something along the lines of it’s perfect I’m so proud of my son. That might have been a bit chaotic to read but I just wanted to share it because I feel like that is the perfect way to show how Mama Sun would be a waaaay better boss than Big Sun because it would show that she actually cares about her kids. Sure she’ll definitely use Charles’s violent skills but she’ll also give him space to be happy.

Oh, I almost forgot but you might have been able to guess it already but I would give this show a 10 out of 10.
