Nerd Thoughts

This was one of those movies that I was pretty excited about, and while I did like it, it fell just short of me loving it. Sure, it had the ridiculous, crazy, and over-the-top storyline, but it was missing one vital part. That part was the outlandish and gratuitous violence. When you’re expecting essentially another Kingsman movie it’s a tad letdown. While it had violence, there was essentially no blood or gore, so the craziness seemed more childish than serious. Another issue this movie had was that it was too slow/long. I never normally think a movie is too long, but when I catch myself thinking “how much longer” it’s usually a sign for me that a movie is too long.

Despite these two huge issues, I don’t think it was a bad movie. Aryglle is just one of those movies that could have been better with a few tweaks. And if I’m being honest, it did have a little twist that surprised me, which was pretty entertaining. So, despite not being as impressed as I was hoping I’d be, I would give this movie a 6.5 out of 10.
