Young Royals Finale Review

I have loved this show from the very beginning, so this finale was very bittersweet. While I’m sad to see it end, it was a satisfying ending, but If I’m being completely honest it could have been a tad better. Now, before we get into what I think could have made it better let’s start with the good stuff. I loved that Sara redeemed herself and grew emotionally, but I loved it even more that Sara and Felice made up. That was a true friendship that I didn’t want to end. Something else that made me happy(which came as a huge surprise) was that Wille forgave August. It showed how much Wilhelm grew up since not only the beginning of the show but the beginning of this season.

In general, the finale was a happy one and didn’t disappoint me, but there is one thing that could have made it better for me. I wish Wilhelm didn’t abdicate. I was really hoping for an ending where both Simon and Willie dealt with all the bad stuff together. I wanted to see Simon learning how to deal with all the shit that comes from being in the limelight while Wilhelm gets the courage to be an unconventional prince/king. They could have created a new type of monarchy that cares a tad less about appearances and acknowledges what’s wrong with the monarchy. But I guess that would have been a bit too complicated and a lot for a finale. So anyway, I’m giving the Young Royals series finale a 9 out of 10.
