The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare Review

I went in assuming that I would like this movie and surprise surprise I did. Guy Ritchie just doesn’t seem to disappoint. He is quickly becoming my favorite director, which is saying something since I normally don’t even pay attention to who directs the movies I watch. But now back to the actual movie, I had a lot of fun watching it. The story was incredible and intriguing, even if there were historical inaccuracies but I don’t know the real story so that doesn’t bother me. I loved the main cast, everyone did a wonderful job at playing slightly unhinged guys. But truly the best part of this movie is the perfect amount and type of action and comedy. Being a based on a true story movie the violence was the ideal amount of realistic and over the top. It never felt too crazy to be unrealistic but just enough crazy to be super entertaining. The comedy was also perfectly timed and didn’t overshadow the seriousness of the mission.

The only “negative” thing I have to say is that I would have liked to see a little montage of each of the main guys when they were introduced. I think that would have been more fun to see some of their background instead of just hearing it. But still, I would give this movie a 9 out of 10.
