Wild Wood Rising (The Blind Bowman Book 3) Review

I want to start this off by explaining that, for 10 years, this series has constantly had a space in the back of my mind and an even bigger space when it finally came back. When it came time to read the final book, I couldn’t help having thoughts like “What if I don’t like the ending?’ or even worse, “What if it’s a bad ending?”(I didn’t believe this one would happen, but you never know). So, you might understand the immense relief I had when all my worries were for nought!

Now, to the actual review. This book was an amazingly nerve-racking rollercoaster! There were so many times I thought everything was lost, but then hope would bloom. That made this book a fantastic read. Combining the craziness with my desire for the series not to end so soon kept me from finishing the book the weekend I got it, because I not only needed to take breaks but also wanted to make it last longer. When I finally finished, I got more than just a “satisfying” ending the author promised me; I got a true, perfect ending.

I also want to reiterate that the actual writing, especially the descriptions of the setting and forest, is perfection. I can practically picture everything in my mind with such clarity. With all of this in my mind, I am both happy and sad(because it means it’s over), give Wild Wood Rising a 10 out of 10.

P.S. What will I do now with this empty space in my heart, Tim?!?!?!?!(I can’t wait to see what you do next)

P.S.S Fuck the vixen goddess she got what she deserved

Great review, Kim, thank you! So glad the ending worked for you (having waited so patiently). I certainly enjoyed writing Wildwood Rising – particularly handing out just deserts for those who deserved it! My next book is going to be a bit different by the looks of it, a little more sci-fi, but sometime in the future I plan to return to this dark mythological stuff, so keep an eye out for that! In any case your enthusiasm for this series is hugely appreciated…

    1. Oooooooh sci-fi I’m very intrigued! Can’t wait to read it!
