First things first this movie did not deserve the amount of hate it’s getting. Was it perfect? No. But it wasn’t horrible either. I thought it was perfectly fine. I do wish it was so much better then it was because I was super hyped for Morbius, but not every movie can be amazing sadly.
For me there was really only one huge flaw and that was that it was super fast. Like someone I know described it as it seemed like it was playing at 1.5 speed. Which makes complete sense. It moved so quickly from one scene to the next that it left almost no time for character/plot development. It feels like they just wanted to get Morbius’s origin story over quickly so they could move straight into the meet up movies. Which I don’t necessarily fault them for wanting to do if it’s true.
But besides the quickness I didn’t really mind the rest of it. That might also be because I love vampire stuff so I was just really happy to have a superhero vampire mashup movie. That is probably why I’m trying to be optimistic about possible future team ups with Venom. All in all I’d give Morbius a 6 out of 10. Not great but average.
