Like many other people, I also heard about the mixed reviews for this one, and for the love of me, I honestly don’t know what some people didn’t like about it. Was it one of my new favorites? No, but to me, it was a perfectly fine new addition to the MCU. It had good jokes, was a good length, and had a really creative setting; what more do you need from an Ant-Man movie?
I think the only thing that kept me from enjoying it to the fullest was that I knew going into it that this wasn’t going to be the end of Kang. Which kind of dulled the importance of the movie. So it ultimately made a movie that should have felt like a big deal into only a semi-big deal. Even though I wasn’t hugely impressed by it I still had fun watching it in theaters and I think that’s the most important factor so I’m giving it a 7 out of 10. Not great but pretty good.
